Having performed nine sell-out theatre shows since their launch in 2015, Lowestoft's very own fishing choir the Rogues Shanty Chorus are back in 2024 with...
'Terms and Conditions'
In this show, the group will demonstrate the meaning of various seafaring terms, the named roles onboard ship and will explore authentic journal accounts from local fishermen and sailors which demonstrate the harsh conditions that the men would face.
The Rogues Shanty Chorus music and performances aims to keep alive the tradition of Lowestoft's unique coastal, cultural and musical heritage, generating interest to existing and new audiences by exploring the folk music created by the fishing communities of the town.
The group promise to bring their usual inimitable mix of fun and rowdy sea shanties and evocative storytelling performed through equal parts authentic traditional pub singaround and unique charming humour - singing along will be encouraged.
After nine shows and nine packed houses, you are advised to BOOK EARLY TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT!
